I’m just thinking… The signal says “for assistance please ring bell”; the text from the room 1 says specifically “something was ringing behind one of the doors”. Maybe these two “rings” are connected (the exact same verb is used) for suggesting to realize we have to restart the game.

Find a big space where “I” is crowded. Its the note on the Tee. Theres a crowded “I” in the middle.
The characters left of the “I” spell SAFE and the characters on the right spell “SOS”. So the left door is correct.

In golf you “line up to the tee”. The letters in the note that the Tee intersects, when you read bottom-up, are LASSO.
The finger in the note points to the rope.
“Ringing the bell” is not about making a noise, but lasso-ing “bell”. Drawing a ring around it with your pen when you see the word.

(Weak bonus answer: You can get “it suit” by lassoing the top right of the text “e, but I still” and removing “bell”. 40 is a valid suit size and 24 isnt)

But the main use of LASSOing BELL is in rooms 24 and 26 that I will write about another time. Doing it in 24 (abyss) makes you notice the ellipsis “…” above bellowing is selecting the letters “low”.
It teaches you about extracting the letters below “…” when they appear to extract all the many keywords and hidden messages they give.

Apply it on this page and you notice that “felt” is below the “…”. Often the message under “…” is for anagramming but sometimes you dont anagram and just read words or subwords. Here its just “felt” on its own so you anagram.

If we want to get super technical about this (I don’t, particularly, but we’re following wires so…) the wires look bare, in rough shape, and most importantly, touching, I don’t think if you pushed the button it would work because of the short circuit that would be created by the two wires contacting each other.

That being said, I don’t think Manson intended trivia for electricians, or wires to be followed in a technical sense. Dismissing certain technical things extends to rooms like 36 in which I erroneously mentioned that the stone above door 16 is dangerously loose. It’s really not enough to fall onto someone.

In the first picture you posted, it seems to me that in the weird snarl, where you have the green and blue wires ending, they are probably meant to connect to each other, in the blackness under the red wire. I’m not sure, of course; it’s blackness.

yes. there is an ambiguous snarl that seems like it connects. If you trace the wires from the floor and from the bell, you will have to use two connections to the same wire.

What do you mean when you say they aren’t connected as they should be? Does the wire from the bell double back and connect to the bell again?

I’ve traced the wires enough times to confidently say they aren’t connected as they should be. The bell will not work. We are in the trap so there is no assistance available. The guide doesn’t want us to press the button because then we will know there is no hope and his fun will be over.
