Throughout the house: the doors with stairs are always the wrong answer.

This further reinforces that Orson Welles as director of Macbeth (1948) should be used. At 45:00 in the film you will see the tridents which appear in room 20 and 26 too.

I’m new and mostly here because of Blue Prince. The post game gets very deep and MAZE-like and knowing MAZE is helping solve parts of Blue Prince (there are thousands of unsolved puzzles still).

For an example of MAZE & Shakespeare in Blue Prince (mild spoiler):

Manson made art for room 7 which is Gallery in both Blue Prince and MAZE. One of the artworks in gallery is “Ruminate”. It has 37 pins in the artwork. “Ruminate” is artwork of a real room you go to (Room 8). The room then discreetly has only 36 pins. This is a MAZE reference where the Ruin is Room 36 and Gallery leads to it (on the bad path) and Room 37 is on the good path. The painting promised good path room but it lead to bad path room.
But there is also a Shakespeare link. In Shakespeare’s Sonnet 64 (8 squared, and Room8 has a squared floor) there is the line:
“Ruin hath taught me to Ruminate”.

The left side of the room is about Shakespeare’s comedies. The right side of the room is about tragedies. Orson -> one of Orson Welles most famous films is Othello. But he also directed and starred in Macbeth.

The room has a cauldron. There is only one shakespeare scene with a cauldron, Macbeth, and it is extremely famous. Bubble bubble toil & trouble. Act 4 scene 1.
It is 7th tragedy in Shakespeare’s first folio (represented by 36 in the room with WS on theatrical masks next to it). This is itself a way to get 7, the correct door.

In the macbeth scene there are 3 apparations. They tell Macbeth he is immortal except for when all of 3 things happen, which seems impossible. But they trick Macbeth. The maze Guide references this with “Even if most of the stories are lies and exaggerations, it is immortality of a sort.”. He also mentions “having few (3) regrets on my part”. The third apparation has a crown, like the one on door 7 floor.

The sieve on the cauldron (and the crown) are both metal part-y hats. The ingredients put in the cauldron are parts of animals and people.

Shakespeare Macbeth has 21 ingredients thrown in cauldron. Orson Welles (1948) has only 2. Welles added something new though: in the first scene the witches pull clay out of the cauldron in first scene to make voodoo doll.

Therefore check room 41 voodoo doll. It has a frog next to it. Frogs toe is one of the ingredients for the cauldron. The frog in room 41 has 7 toes. Telling us 7 is the right door here. (No other ingredients are near voodoo).

But there are other cauldron ingredients too, around the house. Turk’s nose in room 20. Tatar’s lips in room 12 (it’s a Crimean tartar hat). Room 6 is possibly eye of Newt(on) as it has the tiny pinhole with light (famous newton prism experiment) and the hanging weight (gravity). “The ravin’d salt-sea shark” could be room 26 theatre which has SALT + S + A + E (using trident), but need shark somehow. Adders fork could be that trident as the devil is adding letters so an adder.

Sieving all the parts might give a message (e.g. newton = newt + ON). I’ll work more on this later.

Orson from Valentine&Orson is opposite in the room. Therefore look for “Valentine” in Shakespeare’s comedies. Shakespeare’s first play was “Two Gentlemen of Verona”; a comedy. The main characters are brothers and one is called Valentine, (Orson and valentine also are brothers).

Next, consider the man in the background. Based on outfit, the set background, his pose: I believe it to be Fred Astaire. = Feared Stair. In the text he ran away “scared” and we are near the trapdoor.

The text says “stories” and “descendants” and stairs/ladders are how you descend stories.

Now read/search “Two gentlemen of Verona”. Valentine says “By seven o’clock I’ll get you such a ladder.” The only mention of 7 in the play is about a ladder. The only number with a ladder/stair is 7. Which is the correct door.

This also relates to room 10. Where a ladder has 7 steps and a stick on the ladder points to dancers, one of which looks like Astaire.
