Yeah, what Aria said is basically what I was thinking, combined between it being far away and risky. But also, room 21 is quite pretty, especially compared to 31 and 44, which are the right way to go. Just wondering if this means anything.

I guess it depends on what Julian means by “worst.” It’s not the farthest away from Room 41 in the Loop (that’s 16 and 36), and it’s not the most dangerous (that’s 14, because it has two doors to the Trap). But 16 and 36 don’t have doors to the Trap and 14 is close to Room 41, so maybe it’s the worst when considering distance and danger together.

Oh, that’s kind of interesting. My first thought was that 14 is worse because 2/3 of the doors lead to the Trap, but if you look at the danger involved in going from 19 all the way back to Room 1, maybe it is worse than 14. I’m not sure about that, but I don’t want to do any of the math either, so I’m just going to say it’s interesting. (It seems plausible, just on the face of it, since you have a 50% chance of choosing incorrectly immediately, a chance of going to 24 from 21 before getting out of the Courtyards, and then a chance of going into Room 14 on your way back to the beginning. In 14 you have a 2/3 chance of choosing incorrectly immediately, but after that, no matter how much you wander, there’s no danger until you get to 41, and that’s an identical danger you have to face either way.)

Isn’t it funny how, despite this “room” being one of the prettiest in the maze, it’s actually the worst room to be in apart from the trap?
