Simply a generic person. An effigy is crudely made. Maybe the right arm broke off and is leaning against the wall? Maybe it’s unfinished? After all, it still needs to be dressed.

Two arms aren’t a must.

Sure, Manson could have drawn a second arm at the side of the figure, but that’s some trivial artistic license, right?

Seldom is a solution fool-proof, but I claim that this is the simplest, most reasonable explanation for all the information in the room and text.

That doesn’t really address my concern, though, because it could easily point left while having a second arm. If it’s meant to be an effigy of a generic person, you’d expect it to have two arms; if it’s meant to be an effigy of a specific person, you’d only expect it be one-armed if that person is one-armed.

If the item is in fact an effigy–or whatever kind of likeness of any person–why would it have only one arm?

“Effigy” is an interesting suggestion here, and I like possibility of reading that as FG; it”s not a phonetic bullseye, but neither are “hurry cane” or “pair’o'dice.” I’m not convinced of what the significance of that message would be, but it merits thought.

Got it. What is a totem, tribal fetish, and work of art, that resembles a person and that you burn? It’s an effigy, as in “FG”. These are the two clefs in Room 18. We pick the left half of the word:”F”, which corresponds to door 13.
