Several rooms have the correct way to go denoted with ambi-anagrams of “way” ( I.e.
way / wey / may / mey / hem / ham / hew / haw
yaw / yew / yam / yem / haw / hew / hay / hey ).

The yew sign shows that the way must be either door 19 or 23.

The yew rune has been mirrored. The 2nd last paragraph when talking about about “way” mentions “back” and “around”.

Mirroring the yew rune and the two doors it is between changes the door numbers 19->91 and 23->32.
This spells “PaGe” using chemical symbols.
From here use the mirrored door number and go direct to page 32.
It directly continues the periodic PaTh that the line from shakespeare to U to LaCe into that door did.

More about periodic path and where it goes:

In room 32 Hercules steals the letter Y (the statue) which is element above “La” from LaCe. Then he runs through the left wall “sea bag”. The 3(=c) bags are show to be sacks.
In the periodic table above Y the elements go KCaSc. Its “c sack” backwards. Thats part of what the weird “sea bag o.k.” sign is about. He runs through a wall as he runs out of the periodic table. The reason its Hercules is to make it clear he/you arrive at Argon 18 and not Krypton-36 as he is an argonaut. The staircase below the 16 in a square is about a staircase path down left from Ar ending at Sb on the table. You end up moving from room 32 to room 3 which talks about “going down a long flight of stairs and through some sort of pantry”. The pantry = pan-tri = 3 elements As,P,N which make a vertical line and anagram to “pans”.
The rune in room 40 is span and the same thing. Theres a spanner with a bird in another room. All the rooms with birds seem to have groups of 3 elements going horizontal or vertical because their tails are “Rect-tri-ces” for 3 rectangles.

On periodic table draw a path between U to La,Ce then you cross just the elements Pa,Th in that order. It spells Path.

In the room drawing a line from horseshoe to shoes points to the correct door 23 to continue the path.

Looking at what might come before U on the periodic table path: the three elements to it’s right are NpPuAm . Reading right to left it spells “map pun”; which both “atlas” and “globe” are. Probably globe as shakespeare is on the line from door 23 to lace to U.
3+ other rooms have periodic table path lines I’ve found. Some have connected to each other and it’s a long path.

The Elvis sign I∧73 has a few purposes.
∧ means logical AND.
Theres a thing about LE/EL suffix words and using both in words. The storeroom showed: Angel/angle & apple/appel. Room 1 “i” light is cast on Apple/Bottle/Handle.
We get “Handel” the composer from this. He did baroque and opera. Some answers involve using Handel’s works. We also do Able/Abel for Cane and Able answers.
The “I∧73″ represents Handle as 1 AND 73/LE can mean Handle using 1=H for hydrogen. Also candle candela candelabra can be used in room 29.
The secret door in room 29 – the LI candle which is “17″ upside down – can be read as “Li” if you light the candle. Li is lithium, element 3.
It’s on a periodic table; the table has hourglass sign meaning: period. It’s a hint about rotating/ambigramming periodic table and drawing paths across it.
The “directions: UP and ON” means di-rect-ions as in 2 squares, and the elements Pu and No can be made after they “rip up the paper”. Both elements appear with U and PaTh at bottom line of the periodic table.

Element 73 is Tantalum, named after Tantalus. Whose punishment involved fruit on trees being out of reach. This can be used with the appLE on the floor in room 10 to pick correct door.

Manson’s clue for solving this part of the riddle isn’t super descriptive–”You must choose between two pictures.” But the reason for choosing ALL instead of NONE seems to be that it is referenced in the text.

PINPRICK: Pinprick concealment cipher was a common method to hide messages. Adding little dots to letters to spell message.

NUN: First some background. Acrostics can be a null cipher. Lipograms are a null cipher where you have all of the letters of the alphabet (pangrams), except some are missing and those missing letters are the message.
The Hebrew bible is full of alphabet acrostics (called Abecedarius). The famous final one is Psalm 145. But it is really an acrostic lipogram as it misses the 14th hebrew letter: “nun”

The question mark and strawhat could be about microdots and weaving morse code into clothing which were steganography techniques. But these are weaker answers.

It seems that at the halfway path point things may be back-a$$wards. Usually a spear (especially being shaken) pointing to a door would be dismissed by the reader as too obvious and maybe less than peaceful. In rooms there are more examples of pointing objects being wrong than correct. And the guide’s door suggestions to his guests are most often wrong.

But here, the spear is pointing to the correct door and the “we must find our way back out” number of letters clue spoken to the guests is correct. However, the “They looked and looked…every group is the same” number of letters clue to the readers is wrong.

I see the left and right side of the room having some opposing concepts.

At the top we have “all or none.”

In the middle we have an open eye and then on the wall across from it there’s a giant “Z.” I take this to be “awake or asleep.’

Then at the bottom left there’s the sign that says “ELVI” which easily rearranges into “evil.” There isn’t a sign in the opposing doorway but if there were I it would be “good.” And it is the good path.

The guide references Dante’s Inferno in the intro, implying he”s not like Virgil. But he both is and isn’t. Once the main characters in the Divine Comedy make it to the center of Hell they finally meet the Devil and his body is trapped in ice. Afterwards he explores Paradise.

The center of the maze is page 45 but there’s no devil. However, the part the Shakespeare puzzle that says “I Am” combines with the horseshoe which resembles a “U” to say “I am you.” So the guide is the Minotaur, the devil and us. My guess is that it’s because we make the book real in our imaginations and we have the ultimate control when we choose to interact with it.

Maybe that’s precisely why “live” was clued in this way though, that it could form so many other anagrams. Maybe that was the “puzzle.”
